Programs

Infant Formula

In 1989, directly after the devastating 1988 Spitak earthquake, a group of volunteers established the “Armenian Children’s Milk Fund” (ACMF) in Boston.

The fund’s mission is to fill one specific, vital nutritional need: to provide baby formula to infants in Armenia and Artsakh.

Child Sponsorship

In 1991, AMAA and AMAC launched their Child Sponsorship Program with the aim to provide regular support to underserved children and their families. The program started with the sponsorship of just 37 children, but this number has since been raised to around 2000 in Armenia and Artsakh.

Kindergartens

Young minds are the most impressionable and formative. The Kindergarten in Askeran (Artsakh), which opened in 2002, is sponsored by the Armenian Missionary Associations of America and Canada and has been committed to providing its students with the tools and support to advance to the next grade.

Christmas Joy

The volunteers at the Armenian Missionary Association’s Center in Yerevan have already completed the Christmas gift packagings.

About 12,000 Christmas gifts are on their way to their destinations to be distributed to children in several towns and villages in Armenia and Artsakh.

Summer Camps

One of the important projects that AMAA / AMAC has supported for many years has been the worldwide summer camp programs. These programs are designed to share the love of Jesus with youth in practical ways by learning, enhancing their talents, socializing, meeting new friends, and being nourished in a Christian atmosphere of loving care.

Scholarship

Since its inception in 1984, the Armenian Missionary Association of Canada (AMAC) has been providing financial assistance to our schools in Syria and Lebanon in the form of $300 scholarships for each of our 100 plus students in need.

CAHL

“A community or a nation is appraised by the way it treats its weakest members.” The CAHL – Home for the Armenian Elderly, continues its ministry serving the elderly population of our Armenian community in Lebanon amidst a very difficult financial crisis and serious health hazard (COVID-19) in the country.

Armenian Nursing Home of Aleppo

The Armenian Nursing Home of Aleppo, Syria is under the joint auspices of the following denominations: the Armenian Orthodox, Armenian Catholic, and Armenian Evangelical churches. A board of directors runs the home.

Armenian Evangelical Secondary School of Anjar

The Armenian Evangelical Secondary School of Anjar, with its boarding department, is the only school in the near east diaspora that provides both residential care and education.
