Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to each other without grumbling.

The successive industrial revolutions of the past few centuries have affected life on this planet in ways incomparable to time immortal since life was introduced on earth. This amazing transformation in the way we live, behave, relate and work was once again revolutionized with the tech revolution, or the fourth industrial revolution of the last few decades. So much so that it is hard to imagine what the not-so-distant future will bring.

Apart from what ordinary citizens see and experience, there is a lot that goes on beyond our knowledge and imagination. Some of it is good, which for a hefty price, will one day be offered on silver plates to the consumer public. What is frightening is the rest of the tech revolution that is weaponized by nations under the misuse of the magic word – ‘defense.’ Even outer space is being weaponized to dominate this God given beautiful miracle planet. You see, ‘defense’ is attractive, but each ‘defense’ is someone else’s conceived ‘offense,’ which makes all of it offensive. All that while poverty and hunger decease and injustices rule the world.

The whirlwind of the above thoughts is the natural consequence of the state of affairs on the planet as we are living today. From Ukraine and Russia, Europe and the US, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Artsakh. And, when has the Near East ever been off the crisis radar?

Where do we stand in this maze of universal anguish?

The incredible support and wave of prayers that I recently received after my surgery was overwhelming. The echo was global coming from every corner of the world. I am truly humbled with all the love and well wishes expressed but most of all by the prayers that were raised to the ultimate healer.

I reckon that none of that belongs to me but reverts to the good name and reputation of the AMAA as it continues to expand its services in the countries it serves and beyond. The latest addition to the list of countries is Ukraine and its Armenian community who have taken refuge in East Europe or returned to Armenia.

This issue of the AMAA News is dedicated to our mission partners, the Armenian Missionary Association of Canada and the Armenian Missionary Association of Australia. As AMAA’s global services expand and increase, the stories covered here beautifully narrate the role of these two AMAA partners who have long borne the crown of unabashed and unwavering support of the mission.

While giants are busy building ‘defenses,’ weaponizing space and plotting in the dark, the AMAA builds, educates, shelters, feeds and quenches globally. From Beirut to Brussels, Aleppo to Askeran, Stepanakert to Sofia, hand in hand with Sydney, Montreal, and Toronto.

Love is at the core of the mission, the Global AMAA mission.

Thank you for your support.
